Ball Track Race (initial module)

Ball Track Race (initial module)

Ball Track Race is a system of GBC modules that can be put together to form a big marble run. It's initial lifting module was simple conveyor that brings balls up to start their journey along the track. It was a contestant in the 2021 Great Ball Pit Challenge "Great Heights". Most of the tracks of the marble run are made out of LEGO race track elements (parts 42942, 42938, 42942 and 42941) in dark tan from set 4588 "Off Road Race Track", released in 2002. Additional elements, like straights of shorter lengths and more interesting descend elements were designed. The module can be set up differently at every event and can cover long lengths or large areas. It is also useful to provide a way back in linear layouts.

It was designed in 2021 and since then a number of additional modules and track elements, including some working with Duplo balls, were added that can be combined to one large marble run that is part of a GBC loop. This entry covers the initial module with the first track elements, although this particular module can also be set up together with never track elements that will then be part of it and it has been at a number of shows.
