Zig-Zag Thingy GBC
This is a module by a guy named Benjamin (AKA: LEGO Bengineer) and it uses a zig-zag sawtooth mechanism to lift balls up. I came across it one day when I discovered my friend Andrew K had reverse engineered it. A video of his version (very similar to mine) can be seen below. Benjamin's original one and Andrew's has some things I improved upon, which just make it a better module than it already was. An Akiyuki snake slide is used as the output because it is a effective and eye-catching way to get the balls back down to normal height. Benjamin tells me this was inspired by a little stepper made by PuzzLEGO. I like how he was able to take the simple idea of the mechanism and make it into a compliant GBC module.
